We drove around a few places but didn’t quite like the beaches or locations- too rocky, no atmosphere, etc. Finally a local in Mazı told us about the third beach near the end of their village called Ilgın and there we found a home for what ended up being 4 days- we just kept staying! There were a few other nice people staying, with the main ones being a crazy lady from Istanbul who reminded me of my grandma (quirky!) but loved talking to everyone and made friends with the loc

We moved to our next beach (Feliz)- which was sadly not as nice as the previous one but we had parking under a tree, and it was a change of scenery. We left Altınkum late morning on the 29th to drive around the bay to the other side to a beach. On the way, we stopped at Türkiye’s answer to McDonalds: Köfteci Yusuf, which Selo really likes. We both had the köfte- small meat patties with herbs in, served either free salad and bread and a mildly spicy red dip called Antep Ezme.
