So much to do...

January 3rd 2026
So, being the organiser that I am, I've decided that we need to have a list of things that need to be done and timescales.
I started it on paper but that just doesn't have the right capacity for filters and colours and you can't share it in the same way, so... we're on Excel now (and Selo can edit if he figures out how Microsoft sharing works on his laptop... I sent the link).
There is SO MUCH to do.
I'm working full time until 31 March 2026. Selo is working until the end of April 2026, but he does have 4 day stints off between shifts, so he will have time to help with things along the way. The biggest thing to do is clearing out all my personal possessions so I can rent out the house (furnished). I aim to store as little as possible and hope to just get away with a few locked cupboards in the loft storing things I'm not taking. The idea is, if I haven't used it in over a year and I don't love it (i.e. I'm not keeping it for sentimental reasons) then it will be GOING. Ideally to charity.
Bear in mind that this is a 5 bedroom house with a full loft conversion and big rooms and wish me luck with this whole thing.
I'm estimating that it will take me between now and the end of March to actually go through all my possessions. I'm really hoping that Selo and/or my dad (when he's here) will help to get the stuff that I decide is going off the premises so that all I'm doing is sorting (notice the phrasing of "all I'm doing" like it's not a big thing. It is totally a big thing).
And there's so much more to do too... but that's the biggie.
Just as a start too, today I got the estate agent booked to come give me a rental valuation on the house and I will need to ask timing for listing it if we want to rent it out ASAP after 1 May. It will be interesting to see what they say about the market and how easy a rental of this size will be to rent out in this area...
I want to try to show you a picture of our list but I'm so new to this blogging thing who knows if I can make that work. Wish me luck...
